Chapter 3 - Reflection of A Fallen Tear
I saw his smile disappear turning into a frown. I tried to cheer him up by laughing, “Daijoubu da yo! I won’t judge you. You don’t even have to tell me if you don’t want to.” “Its OK, you should know about this,” he shook his head. He looked like a little lost puppy, frightened and worried of what the future might hold.
“Kazuya… is my half-brother,” he took a deep breath before continuing. “But, the inheritance scandal isn’t really true. Well, part of it anyways. Okaasan did leave us both her money! And, I’m not banished, I just left the mansion! It was getting too risky to stay there,” he explained, vivid images running through his mind.
“Risky? What do you mean? Are you in trouble, Jin-kun?” I looked at him, tugging his school jumper lightly. “I got dragged into this mess by Kazuya! He… he got in trouble with the yakuza and now, they’re after me too! I had no choice but to leave. I asked him to go in hiding, but he was just too darn stubborn! As an older brother, I tried to protect him, but he just resisted!” he said, almost yelling.
“That’s what he meant by dangerous…”
“Jin-kun… You should come stay at my place. The media has already found you over at Tomohisa-san’s home, so it wouldn’t take long for the yakuza to locate you! We’ll deal with Kamenashi-san once we get you safe!” I suggested, dragging him out of the gelati store. “Come on, you guys! We’re leaving!” I said, leaving the two filled with questions. “Wait! What? Why?” I heard Leah & Tomohisa-san yell in the background.
“I’m not gonna get you in trouble too, Veronica-san!” Jin yelled, gently but firmly placing his hands on my shoulders. “But Jin, if they find you, Tomohisa-san will be dead as well,” I screamed, tears started gathering in my eyes. “So please, just stay over my place for the mean time. They won’t find you there for awhile, onegai yo, Jin! I don’t wanna lose you just after I got to know you!” I begged, trying to hold my tears in.
“Wakatta! Stop crying! But once they locate me, I’m moving!” Jin said, wiping the tears off my face. “Un,” I nodded. By the time we made our way towards Tomohisa-san’s home, we noticed that Leah & him weren’t behind us. We laughed when we noticed this, because we were worried that we had to explain everything to them after causing that huge scene before.
But we didn’t, ne? It was our little secret…

“Tadaima!” I yelled, placing my shoes on the rack beside the door. “Shitsureshimasu,” Jin mumbled. “Ara! A guest?” Mum said, smiling at the boy she was yet to meet. “This is Jin, my classmate,” I introduced.
Mum was a very kind person. I brought Jin home because I knew she would let him stay here for as long as he wants. But, Dad was the hard one to convince. He had something against the guys in my life, even if they were just friends. He was too protective of me, but he would always give up sooner or later in the end though.
“Umm… Mum, Jin needs a place to stay over because of some family issues, so I brought him back here. Would it be alright if he stays here for a few weeks or so?” I asked persuasively. “Ii yo! It would be nice to have someone else around here once in a while! I’ll talk to Otousan about it so shinpai shinaide ne. You should take Jin-kun to the guest room and show him around the house. I’ll be here if you need me,”

“And here’s your room!” I led Jin in after the brief tour of my house. “Sorry if its kinda small. You’re probably used to huge, awesomely interior designed rooms, ne? Seeming you’re rich and all!” I said with an awkward smile on my face. “Iie, totemo ii heya da! I’ll be alright, thanks!” he placed his baggage on the bed.
“Take a good, long shower! Dinner will probably be served in about an hour, so I’ll see you then,” I gave him I last look before closing the door. I headed into my room, which was just next to Jin’s room, took of my school jumper and socks, and jumped straight into bed. “A~ Now what am I gonna do about Kamenashi-san? I’ve gotta get to move out as well! I’ll ask him in school tomorrow!” I thought silently, staring up at the white, blank ceiling.

Chapter 2 - Dirty Little Secrets
It has been a week, and nothing significant has happened to me after the first day of school. Everything just fell into place right after that. But, I still have the conversation I had with Kamenashi-san stuck in my head. What did he mean by Akanishi-san being dangerous? He doesn’t seem anything close to dangerous to me.
“Hey, Veronica-san. What are you up to after school today?” asked Jin, playfully sucking on his lollipop, as usual. “Hmm... Nothing in particular really. Why? Do you have anything in mind?” I nudged him, causing him to lose balance. “Just wondering. Yamapi & I were just thinking about going to the new gelati store down the road from school. Wanna come? You can bring your pretty little friend with you,”he hinted, as he stared at Leah, who was reading a magazine in the corner.
Leah Dizon was the new transfer student, who arrived a few days after I did. She was from the States as well, but couldn’t really speak Japanese very well. She is beautiful, big grey eyes and well-defined cheek bones were her best features. She is my closest friend so far just because I could easily relate to her in terms of culture & language.
“Sure,” I said, as I went to approach Leah about it. “Hey Leah, do you have any plans after school today?” I asked, pulling a chair towards her desk. “Nah. What’s up? Anything in mind?” she smiled sweetly. “Yea. Akanishi-san & Tomohisa-san were just inviting us to taste test at the new gelati store down the road,” I answered, grabbing the magazine off the table.
“I’m up for it if you are,” Leah replied. I nodded & started flicking around in the magazine, looking for something interesting. It was a gossip magazine filled with rumours & celebrities. Flick, Flick, Flick.
“HALF BROTHERS FIGHT & ONE BANISHED!” - the headline stated in big, bold letters.
“うそ！しんじらない！” I yelled, dashing out of the class with the magazine. I was shocked, completely baffled! It was the picture in the article which caused this scene. “Why the Hell is Akanishi-san & Kamenashi-san’s picture in the article?” I asked myself, pacing up and down along the corridor.
I managed to calm myself down a little, when I started reading the article.
Sons of the late Mizukawa Eiko have done it once again! Kamenashi Kazuya & Akanishi Jin, sons of multi-millionaire Mizukawa Eiko, have been spotted having a brawl outside the Hilton Hotel. Witnesses say that the cause of the brawl was because of their mother’s inheritance. Rumours have been going around lately saying that Eiko had only left one of her sons all of her money, & the other one, absolutely nothing!
This has caused one of the brothers, Akanishi Jin, to be banished from his home. He has recently been seen staying over a friend’s house. Get more of the inheritance scandal in our next issue. Stay tuned!
“Oh My God! That’s just great! He didn’t tell me anything! How am I supposed to trust him anymore?” I stomped my foot, causing everyone in class to look out. “Calm down Ronnie, I’ve only known him for a week. I don’t think he’s ready to tell me anything yet.” I thought, trying to soothe myself. “I’ll just wait for him to tell me about it...”
“You alright there, Veronica-san?” Jin approached me. “Uhh, yea, sure. I’m fine. Never been better.” I said, hiding the magazine behind my back. “So, we’re all going to the gelati store after school, right?” he asked, smirking. “Yup, I’ll see you there then,” I nervously replied, running back into class. “I wonder if everyone in class knows about this,” I speculated.
So, I started asking around class, if they knew anything strange about Akanishi-san & Kamenashi-san. “あの... Just wondering, but do you know anything odd about Akanishi-san & Kamenashi-san?” I curiously questioned. “Ahh~ You mean the inheritance scandal? Its all over school, but none of them would comment on the matter. We don’t really want them getting mad, so everyone’s just going to wait for the truth,” Ninomiya-san, the professional gamer of the class, explained. “Alright, this is not much of a secret then, is it? I’ll ask him about it when we get to the gelati store,” I thought as I sat back down in my seat.

“How bad was the essay on Romeo and Juliet. I bet I flunked it!” Akanishi-san predicted. He walked over to the counter and picked out the green tea & banana flavoured gelati. “I know. I thought I went pretty good on it though,” Tomohisa-san replied, licking his chocolate-flavoured gelati. “Hmm...”I mumbled, my arms crossed.
“Here! I know there’s something bothering you. Hope this makes it feel better,”Akanishi-san offered the banana-flavoured gelati. “And, call me Jin! It feels to formal when we’re already hanging out!” he continued before I could say anything else. “J-J-Jin-kun.” I stuttered, as I tried to get used to the new name.
“Umm, Ronnie? I kinda feel left out here!!” Leah joined in, speaking English. “Oh, sorry Leah, but I need to talk to J-Jin privately for a second. I’ll be back,” I said, pulling Jin aside. “I have to talk to you, Jin. It’s about this article in the magazine. Will you tell me about it? I won’t force you or anything, but as your friend, I would like to know about it,” I pointed at the article I tore out of the magazine.

Chapter 1 - Lonely First Days
“Class, settle down! This is Veronica-san. A transfer student from America, please take care of her, as her Japanese is not very fluent.” Nakajima-sensei anounced to the class. “３年Aぐみ. やってきました! みんあ、よろしくおねがいします.” I yelled out, bowing my head down, like how I saw in dramas.
Fate played with us, ne?
It was that moment when I noticed a boy in the corner, gazing out the window. He was gorgeous, especially his full lips, which looked like they were longing for a kiss. His beautiful eyes, so deep, so full of riddles. I was trapped in his mysterious aura, so mystical, so strange. I wanted to know more, I wanted to get closer, as much as possible.
I was drawn to him, but my heart told me to stay away. “He’s dangerous,” was all it told me. As I traced my steps back one by one, away from him, I was told to sit next to him. “こんにちは！ベロニカです。よろしく〜”I turned to him & smiled. He smiled back unexpectedly, staring deep into my eyes, as if he could read my mind.
“Hi, I’m Kamenashi Kazuya. こちらこそよろしく。” He replied, offering a handshake. I was shocked that he even bothered saying anything back to me, but I was glad he did. He seemed like a nice guy, perfect even. I was speechless after our self-introduction. I didn’t know what to say to him, so I thought I should pay more attention to my tannin-sensei, Nakajima Mizue.
It was my first time studying in Japan & I was pretty pumped up about it. I adore Japan, I love the language, the people, their way of life and practically everything else for that matter. It was like a dream come true when my Dad told us about our move to Japan, and he thought I was mad when I went screaming around the house.
Ring~
“Class dismissed. Don’t forget to finish the assignment on light refraction!!” reminded Nakajima-sensei. “Wow! That was quick!” I thought to myself, knowing that it probably went by so fast because I was too busy staring at Kamenashi-san all the way through the first two periods. I stuffed my books under my desk and reached into my bag to grab my bento. “2 periods over and still no friends,” I sighed to myself.
Just then, a voice said, “Yo! Veronica-san desu yo ne?” I turned around to find another stunning looking guy, peering over my shoulder. He was very good-looking indeed! “Akanishi Jin desu!” he continued as he tore the wrapper of a lollipop. He had deep, understanding, brown eyes & sexy lips. “What the fuck?! Is this a school filled with models or something?” I thought, twirling my hair as I tried to process what to say back.
“Hey, I’m Veronica. How are ya?” I replied. “That’s quite a cute bento you have there. Mind if I sit next to you?” I didn’t even have time to say anything, when he pulled up a chair and sat there, glaring at my bento. “Oh, sure, take interest in the bento instead,” I thought, sarcastically.
“You can have some if you want,” I offered, handing him an extra pairs of chopsticks I saved, which were originally meant for a new friend. He grabbed the chopsticks and started gulping down the sushi I made this morning, leaving only 3 left. “Ahh~ That was good. Thanks!” he said, rubbing his stomach in circles.
I rolled my eyes, hoping he would notice. “Uwa, I’m so sorry I ate most of it. I’ll pay you back. I promise,” he apologized, noticing the annoyed look on my face. “That’s ok. But, you owe me!!” I replied, winking at him. “Haha,” he nervously laughed back. “So, you’re from America?” he asked curiously. “Not exactly,” I replied.
“I was studying there before I came here. My life’s pretty crazy. I move alot, because of my Dad’s work. Before that, I lived in Australia for awhile and China too.” I continued, explaining my life story. “Wow, that must be tough for a girl like you,” Akanishi-san said, as he placed his hand under his face to support it. “ Yea, it can be, sometimes...” I looked out the window, staring at the endless, blue sky.
I missed my friends back in the States, particularly my best friend, Sarah Ferrier. She was the most uniquely awesome person I’ve ever met. We could rely on each other through everything, the ups & downs of my past relationships, the times her parents fought and the usual high school drama. I missed her dearly and I wish she was here.
“Are you ok?” Akanishi-san asked, as he placed his hand on my shoulder. “Huh? Oh, yea. I’m fine. Just got caught up down memory lane. I just miss my friends back in the States. I’m not progressing very much on making new friends here, am I?” I laughed, with a slight hint of loneliness in the tone of my voice.
“Are you not counting me as a friend?” He pouted, pointing at himself. He was so cute, I couldn’t not laugh. “Haha, thanks. You really wanna be my friend?” I asked him, just for confirmation. “あたりまえだろう！！ I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t want to be your friend, would I?” he playfully suggested.
If only I had known back then....
I nodded and smiled back quickly, as I checked my watch. “5... 4... 3.... 2... 1...”
Ring~
“Veronica-san, can I have your email before class starts?” he placed his phone on my desk. “Sure,” I smiled politely and entered my email address in. “Thanks, I’ll see you later, ne?” he greeted, as he walked back to the 3rd seat from the left of the second row.
As the teacher walked into class, Kamenashi-san slowly walked towards his desk. “So, Veronica-san, I see you’ve met Jin. I recommend you to stay away from him! He’s dangerous...” he warned, with a serious look on his face. “Ehh? Dangerous? Akanishi-san? You’ve got to be kidding!!” I laughed. I waited for a reply, but when I turned around to face him, he was already gazing out the window, in his own little world.

Wow, its been a long long time since I last posted on LJ. I've been busy with school & boys... Lol... And, I'm kinda lacking behind the JE world. But, I've been catching up these days. Hmm... What JDrama have I watched since I last posted? Umm... I have watched Mei-chan no Shitsuji, Last Friends & Celeb to Bimbo Taro. Lol.. I know, I know, I'm way far behind. I'm sooo getting myself back into action & up-to-date with Japanese stuff! Lol...
Its kinda hard with everything over here to catch up. School's been pretty time-occupying.. Plus, I've been having boy trouble. But, its all over. Thank God!! And, I'm going back home to Malaysia on Tuesday! Home soon~ Whoo~ More downloading and JDrama to come!!! Lol...

Hey minna~
I'm actually posting this from class on the school computer, because I finished my Chinese test early. Lol... School's such a drag! I can't believe I have PE after lunch. Damn it!
OK, change of subject. Have you guys watched KAT-TUN's new PV, Rescue yet? OMG, its brilliant. I think its the best PV so far they've made. Its just gorgeous. Love the dance solos and the high speed camera scenes.
I've even watched the making of the PV. Jin & Kame are gorgeous as ever, Ueda is SOOO CUTE, Koki's just as funny as usual, Taguchi is full of himself again and then there's Nakamaru and his random beatboxing, which is cool...
You guys seriously have to watch it! Its the greatest thing ever!! ^^

I can't wait!! I'm returning to KL next month!! Can't wait to see everyone. I'm going to the MOOMBA Water Festival today night. Can't wait. Don't really know what it is, but its free! Lol...
So, updates on drama & all things Japanese~ Well, guess what?! I BOUGHT 2 concert DVDs. The actual DVD, lol... I bought the Cartoon KAT-TUN 2 You Tour & the Final Time Arashi Tour DVDs. Love Aussie, you can find anything here! Lol... And, I'm currently watching Kami no Shizuku. Haven't even started actually, but I downloaded the first episode. I'm also watching Last Friends, which is really awesome. And, Nishikido Ryo is such an asshole in it. Never ever gonna like him after watching this.. ahaha.
I now have to fly away to get ready for the day~ ^^
